APWINC of Sookmyung Women's University said in 30th that it has conducted an "invitation training to strengthen capabilities for women's human resources development in Cambodia" through 28th as part of the first Gyeonggi Province International Development Cooperation Project.

A total of 10 high-level government officials delegates from various ministries, including Cambodia's secretary-general of the Women's National Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Gender Equality, Labor, Industry and Handicraft.

During the training course, the Cambodian training group shared Korea's women's human resources development policy, policies to support employment and start-ups, and success stories. And They had time to visit the Gyeonggi provincial government and women's management company for a meeting.  In addition, the current status and operational cases of the Gyeonggi Women's Performance Development Center were shared and the actual results of the policy were verified through a meeting with actual users of the center.

According to APWINC, Cambodia is a young country in its 20s and 30s that makes up more than 70 percent of the population and has unlimited potential for development. In particular, women are fully supported by the royal family and other countries as they are a cross cutting Issue.

In fact, women-related issues account for a very high percentage of government policies, with the Women's National Commission suggesting policies directly to the prime minister and queen.

"By sharing know-how and experience in developing women's capabilities, which has produced women's presidents, we will be able to contribute to strengthening women's capabilities and improving their economic capabilities in Cambodia," said Kim Myung-hee, head of APWINC.

The APWINC of Sookmyung Women's University was established in 1996 to promote the development of information and culture of women in the Asia-Pacific region and enhance their digital economic capabilities.
