suarasurabaya.net - Korea Selatan tertarik mempelajari program pengarusutamaan gender yang digulirkan pemerintah Indonesia. Mereka menilai Indonesia cukup sukses mengenalkan program kesamaan hak antara laki-laki dan perempuan sejak jenjang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD).

Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Myonghee Kim, Direktur Asia Pacific Women`s Information Network Center (APWINC) Sookmyung Women`s University Korea Selatan usai Pelatihan Teknologi Informasi dan Kepemimpinan Perempuan yang diselenggarakan oleh UNESCO Unitwin di Universitas Pelita Harapan, pada 15-20 Agustus 2016.

Kim membawa sejumlah mahasiswi dari Korea Selatan ke Indonesia selama sepekan untuk saling belajar dan berbagi pengalaman tentang program gender dan kepemimpinan. "Saya menilai Indoesia memiliki komitmen yang sangat tinggi dalam kesetaraan hak laki-laki dan perempuan, khususnya di bidang pendidikan," ucapnya, di Jakarta, Minggu, 21 Agustus 2016.

Ella Yulaelawati, Direktur Pembinaan PAUD Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan yang menjadi pementor kunci pada pelatihan tersebut mengatakan pemerintah Indonesia sejak lama menjalankan program pengarusutamaan gender di beragam bidang. "Perempuan yang menjadi kepala daerah, CEO, anggota parlemen, dan pejabat di kementerian/lembaga terus bertambah dibanding tahun-tahun sebelumnya," ujar Ella yang merupakan salah satu perempuan yang menjabat eselon II di Kemdikbud.

Ella menuturkan, Direktorat Pembinaan PAUD sejak tahun 2013 menjalankan program "Meningkatkan Akses dan Kualitas Pendidikan Anak Perempuan melalui PAUD Berbasis Masyarakat dan Pengarusutamaan Gender Sejak Dini". Program tersebut mendorong keseteraan gender dalam lembaga PAUD.

Program ini telah membuahkan hasil berupa kesetaraan partisipasi anak-anak perempuan dan laki-laki. Jumlah peserta didik perempuan di Taman Kanak-kanak pada tahun 2015 telah mencapai 1.156.777, atau hampir menyamai laki-laki sebanyak 1.396.523.

Pada jenjang Kelompok Bermain, jumlah peserta didik perempuan dan laki-laki pun hampir imbang. Pada tahun 2015, peserta didik perempuan sebanyak 737.176 dan laki-laki sebesar 845.557 orang.

Program ini pun diganjar penghargaan tingkat internasional oleh UNESCO pada tahun 2016. "Kita meraih penghargaan UNESCO Prize for Girl`s and Women`s Education 2016. Penghargaan tingkat dunia ini diberikan karena kepedulian Indonesia yang mulai mengenalkan program pengarusutamaan gender sejak jenjang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD)," urainya.

Penghargaan tersebut diserahkan oleh perwakilan UNESCO pada bulan Juni lalu. Juri UNESCO Prize for Girl`s and Women`s Education menilai tidak banyak negara di dunia yang mulai mengenalkan tentang gender sejak usia dini.

Dari sisi tenaga pendidik PAUD, Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan untuk memacu jumlah laki-laki. Hingga saat ini, tenaga pendidik PAUD masih didominasi oleh perempuan. Namun, pada tingkat universitas, sebagian besar dosen adalah laki-laki. Isu keseteraan gender ini menjadi tugas besar Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan.

Program pengarusutamaan Gender pada jenjang PAUD seiring dengan program Satu Desa Satu PAUD yang dikembangkan oleh Kemendikbud. Hingga akhir tahun 2015, sebanyak 58.174 desa telah memiliki lembaga PAUD. Jumlah ini mencapai 72,29 persen dari total desa yang tersebar di Indonesia.(jos/iss)
