‘Capacity Building of Gender Policy (Indonesia)’ was held in Sookmyung Women’s University from April 15th to May 1st, 2015. This training program was co-hosted by Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) of Sookmyung Women’s University (SMU), and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
15 of Indonesian government officials from Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (MoWECP), National Planning Board Agency and Ministry of Education and Culture have participated in this 18 days of training program to strengthen their capacity of Indonesian government officials in gender policies and gender related administrative service areas.
The participants acquired practical knowledge through various lectures about leadership empowerment, gender policy, and use of ICT. During the training program, the participants have established Action Plan which can address to current gender related issues in Indonesia and they will implement their Action Plan after they returned to Indonesia.
